By Courtnie We, here at Bravenet, are so excited to announce that the new Bravenet website is live! Not only does this change the look and feel of the site, it launches a brand new property under the Bravenet umbrella: BraveSites. Now you can point / click / drag / drop your way to a fantastic website, all in minutes and from within your Bravenet account! The new website was released last Thursday, June 9th. If you haven't already noticed, you need to click over to bravenet.com and check it out now. Hopefully, you find the look and feel of the new site just as appealing as we do. The goal of the changes was to, ultimately, make Bravenet easier for our member's to use. Of course, sometimes that means we have to move familiar links, or change some of the wording that you have come to rely on which can be a little confusing. We hope to clear up any confusion in this newsletter and show you how to use the new Bravenet website. The biggest change you've probably noticed is the segmentation of the site into major brand areas as follows: Bravenet - the portal for your account. On Bravenet you manage all your account information. BraveDomains - Domain management and registration services. Domains can be used with both BraveSites and BraveHost. BraveSites - our new easy to use drag and drop website builder. Includes: blogs, photo galleries, maps, audio and video players and so much more (more on this below) BraveHost - powerful full featured FTP hosting that includes: email accounts, PHP support, database hosting and more. BraveApps - Here you will find all the webtools you have come to love: blog, guestbook, email forms, messages forums, hit counters and so much more. BraveMailer - Marketing at its best! Build and send email newsletters cost effectively with our intuitive mailing list builder - tons of email templates to choose from! (more on this below) Another change is in regards to the flow of the upper tabbed navigation when logged in. Here is what you will see, starting from the left: The first tab you see is the 'Account' tab. This is much like the previous Bravenet 'Account' tab. On the left of the screen you can access all the same areas of Bravenet that are available under the tabbed navigation. On the right you can manage your account information and access your Account Images and the Bravenet Stock Photos. (Did you know you have access to over 150,000 stock photos as a pro hosting member?) Web Apps is our new term for Web Tools. All of your existing Web Tools, such as, Guestbook, Counter. Message Forum, Blog, etc can be found under the 'Web Apps' tab. All of your Web Tools found under the Web Apps tab are all the same tools and information as before - it is is just presented in a slightly different manner. The 'FTP Hosting' tab is where you will find all your previous Bravenet sites, SFTP information, access to the old website wizard and more. Once on the 'ftp hosting' tab you will see a sub navigation with access to your hosting 'Control Panel', 'Websites', 'SFTP' and 'Databases'. If your website uses the Website Wizard and you are looking to edit your site, click the 'ftp hosting' tab, click your website and you should see the 'Website Wizards' option here. continued below... BRAND NEW Bravenet Site Builder and More By Courtnie Under the 'Site Builder' tab you will find access to our BRAND NEW - robust and easy to use - Bravenet site builder: BraveSites. With BraveSites you can easily build a website right in your web browser using our drag and drop content management system. Built into the new site builder are tons of tools such as blogs, photo galleries, Google maps, audio and video players, Facebook and Twitter plugins, an ecommerce shopping cart and so much more. Building a website has never been easier. BraveSites redefines the words "website builder". You can have an awesome looking website up and running in no time. Choose from one of our themes, or if you're feeling creative, upload your own to be used with the builder! Enhanced features, over 150,000 stock images to choose from, and a simple to use interface; Bravesites takes easy site building to a whole new level. The 'domains' and 'email' tabs are much like before. Under the 'domains' tab you will find all your domain names. Here you can manage and edit all of your domain information. As well as register for a new domain, transfer a domain or set up domain redirection. Under the 'email' tab you will find access to all your current email address and options for creating new email address and more. Please note that you can only create email address if you have Professional Bravenet Hosting. Under the 'elist service' tab you will find access to the Bravenet Mailing List service. You can also get access to the Mailing List under the 'Web Apps' tab. The Bravemailer Mailing List system features an easy to use control panel and comes with several ways to build and send your newsletter, update, sale or special promotion! The intuitive Email Theme Wizard allows you to style your newsletter around an image of your choice. Simply pick a color from the title image and watch as the color theme gets set to match! Or choose from the other Mailing List builder options - we have every option to suit all your needs. Bravemailer also offers fantastic statistics, detailing your send and open rates of your newsletters, delayed sends, subscriber management and so much more! To the right of the tabs you will see access to Support and Resources. From the Support link you get access to the Bravenet Wiki, Bravenet Help Forums and Support Tickets. The Resources link will take you to the Bravenet Resource Center. We really hope that this helps everyone use and understand the new Bravenet website easily.
